Siglo Group is a team of highly motivated individuals who specialize in land use planning, design, and conservation. Our group consists of professionals who have worked in private sectors, governments, and non-profit organizations, with expertise in environmental assessment, regional analysis, conservation planning, mapping, and land use feasibility studies.
Our founder Jonathan Ogren established Siglo Group in 2006 with a mission to integrate natural systems into land planning and design. He has worked with various clients over the years, contributing to the preservation of natural habitats, restoration of public and private properties, and the creation of sustainable land use policies.
Jonathan is now a faculty member at the University of Texas School of Architecture where he teaches graduate students to incorporate geographic analysis into their research. Haley Wagoner is our ecological designer who joined Siglo Group in 2018. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Regional Development with minors in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Spanish from the University of Arizona.
Haley's expertise includes GIS analysis, cartography, environmental design, planning, land survey, on-ground restoration, community engagement, and environmental education. Miles Payton, another ecological designer at Siglo Group, joined our team in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in commercial landscape design in Austin.
Miles holds a Masters in Landscape Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz. His skills include landscape design, planting and restoration strategies, construction observation, and construction best practices. We are excited to have Laura Brusson, an ecological designer, on board at Siglo Group.
Laura is passionate about the interconnectivity of human experience, environmental health, and the sense of place. She has experience working on landscape architecture and urban planning projects in various regions throughout the country and recently moved back to Austin from the Northeast. Laura holds a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and was awarded the ASLA Certificate of Honor.
Shana Shapiro, our conservation planner and GIS analyst, joined Siglo Group in 2023. Shana has a Masters in Environmental Management and a certificate in Geospatial Analysis from Duke University and a B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Colgate University. She specializes in geospatial analysis, conservation, and environmental design.
