How to troubleshoot an ISL down in Fabric MetroCluster (Cisco)

Description
This article is not intended as a comprehensive troubleshooting guide, but as a tool to assist in ISL link troubleshooting. For further assistance please engage NetApp Technical Support via a Technical Support Case.
- Whenever troubleshooting ISL link a number of factors should be considered:
- What is the distance of the ISL links?
- Have the ISL ports been configured correctly as per the installation guide?
- What type of ISL is being used? Direct Link? DWDM?
- What additional components are in the link? Are there any patch panels?
- What is the health of the components on the link?
MetroCluster Kernel table might not be completely populated after an upgrade

Issue
- A risk called "A Metrocluster Kernel table is not populated correctly." is displayed in ActiveIQ.

Cannot login to ATTO bridge from GUI but CLI works

Issue
- The ATTO bridge is not accepting logins from the GUI.
- Otherwise, the bridge is functioning normally and logins via the serial console or telnet work with no issues.
How to configure Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) in a MetroCluster IP

Description
This article describes how to enable CDP in a MetroCluster IP environment.
- CDP should be enabled on all the nodes part of the MetroCluster IP prior to ONTAP 9.7
- It is enabled by default in ONTAP for cluster ports, but must be enabled explicitly for the other ports.
