In this remote, independent contractor role, you will support our Wallet initiative by extracting and analyzing advisory fee data from public bankruptcy dockets. Your meticulous work will directly inform vendor relationship management and institutional spend analytics across our organization. This engagement is ideal for detail-oriented paralegals with experience in bankruptcy or restructuring cases, offering a flexible schedule and competitive hourly compensation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Navigate public claims agent websites (e.g., Omni Agent, Epiq, KCC) to locate bankruptcy docket materials.
  • Identify and retrieve monthly fee statements and final fee applications for both debtor and creditor advisors.
  • Extract, log, and summarize time entry and fee details by party into standardized databases.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in Excel or Google Sheets, including commentary on data completeness.
  • Participate in occasional team check-ins to refine processes and improve replicability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Paralegal background with experience in bankruptcy or restructuring cases.
  • Familiarity with court docket systems and claims agent sites (PACER, Omni Agent, Epiq, KCC, Stretto).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and summarize legal filings such as retention applications and fee statements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage ambiguous or inconsistent data formats.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including basic formulas and data organization.
  • Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and capable of independent problem-solving.
  • Bonus: Experience with AI or legal tech tools to aid PDF review and data extraction.
