Job Overview

Lead strategic communication initiatives to amplify Mozilla’s mission and projects.
Work remotely, collaborating with cross-functional teams across North America.
Develop and execute media outreach, content creation, and public relations strategies.
Serve as a spokesperson for Mozilla, engaging with press and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive communication plans.
Manage relationships with media outlets and journalists.
Write, edit, and distribute press releases and key messaging.
Monitor and analyze media coverage and public sentiment.
Support crisis communication and reputation management.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
5+ years of experience in communications management, preferably with non-profits or tech organizations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong media relations and digital communication expertise.
Experience with content creation and public speaking.
Knowledge of internet policy and advocacy is a plus.
