Senior Data Engineer, Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architecture and infrastructure aligned with business objectives.
• Create, validate, and optimize ETL and data pipeline solutions for efficient data warehousing and integration.
• Champion data democratization, ensuring high-quality data accessibility for stakeholders.
• Guide the team on technical best practices and contribute to the overall system architecture.
• Support onboarding of new customers, participate in on-call rotations, and resolve data-related technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Application Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Predictive Analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of experience with data warehouses, lakes, and ETL pipelines.
• Expertise in building optimized data pipelines using Snowflake.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kafka, Apache Airflow, and Spark (Scala/Python).
• Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases such as Redshift and Postgres.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services (ECS, S3, RDS) and tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and DBT.
• Experience supporting reporting tools (Tableau, Looker) and building data quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in healthcare or social determinants of health data products is a plus.
• Ability to build scalable, high-performance solutions for enterprise clients.
