The Senior Threat Detection Engineer role is responsible for detecting and creating intrusion detection rules for Emerging Threats Pro IDS ruleset. The role involves researching and analyzing threats such as phishing, malware, and exploits to create network and file-based signatures to detect similar threats. Additionally, this role requires the analysis of host, network, and memory artifacts. Experience with virtualization technologies, writing signatures for IDS platforms, and network traffic inspection tools such as Wireshark is preferred. The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be creative, enthusiastic about the malware space, and a willingness to collaborate.
