Job Overview

This opportunity is ideal for advanced mathematicians eager to apply their expertise in a high-impact AI setting. You'll shape AI model development by setting annotation standards, evaluating mathematical reasoning, and creating rigorous training material across a range of math domains.

Key Responsibilities

Guide research teams to address knowledge gaps and enhance AI model performance in math domains.
Create, document, and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to mathematics and statistics.
Develop guidelines, rubrics, and frameworks for assessing mathematical reasoning and solutions.
Design challenging, domain-relevant math tasks and author accurate, well-structured solutions.
Evaluate math problems and solutions, providing clear, constructive written feedback.
Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure data quality and consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Master’s or Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field, or industry-recognized credentials (e.g., IMO/Putnam medalist).
3+ years of professional experience in a math-focused role at a reputable institution.
Expertise in one or more of: Foundations, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability, Statistics, Number Theory, Topology.
Strong ability to create, evaluate, and improve math training data for AI models.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
Located in the US, with flexible availability (minimum 20 hrs/week, ideally up to 40 hrs/week).
