The Director of Data Science will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and executing the data analytics strategy for Conduent’s Customer Experience (CX) and Business Process as a Service (BPaaS) solutions. This highly visible, remote position is responsible for transforming complex operational and customer data into actionable insights, driving business performance, optimizing customer journeys, and demonstrating measurable ROI to clients. The Director will lead a high-performing analytics team, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and partner across business units to deliver advanced analytics capabilities and strategic value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive data analytics strategies for CX and BPaaS domains aligned with business objectives.
  • Design, implement, and oversee sophisticated analytics models, dashboards, and reporting systems to extract actionable insights.
  • Lead initiatives to measure, track, and optimize the performance and ROI of CX initiatives and BPaaS solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed analytics into products, operations, and client solutions, and support sales with data-driven value propositions.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of data analysts, data scientists, and reporting specialists.
  • Establish and maintain standards for data quality, accessibility, and compliance across analytics functions.
  • Evaluate and implement advanced analytics tools and platforms to enhance analytical efficiency and automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 15–20 years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred (Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, etc.).
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, R, and BI visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with process mining and automation analytics (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Insights, Automation Anywhere).
  • Proficient in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with BPaaS, BPO, or managed service business models, and a deep understanding of CX metrics (NPS, CSAT, CES).
  • Strong knowledge of service delivery metrics, SLAs, operational KPIs, and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for executive and client audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing analytics teams in customer-centric or service delivery environments.
  • Forward-thinking, business-oriented mindset with experience driving data-informed organizational change and value.
