Join Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, as an Embedded IoT / Edge Solutions Sales Representative, Manager, or Director. In this fully remote role, you will drive the expansion of Ubuntu Core and related open-source solutions within mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, Telco, and Consumer Electronics. You will prospect, develop, and close strategic customer relationships, contributing to the adoption of industry-leading embedded Linux and IoT technology in global markets. With a distributed, diverse team and opportunities for global travel, this position offers a dynamic career in enterprise technology sales.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute territory sales plans focused on security-driven brands and manufacturers.
Prospect, engage, and nurture new and existing customer relationships in target industries.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to drive market awareness and customer satisfaction.
Manage pipeline and forecast accurately using Salesforce and standard sales tools.
Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through effective account management and closing contracts.
Travel regionally and internationally for customer engagement, industry events, and company meetups.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Exceptional academic record and undergraduate degree in a technical field.
Field sales experience in embedded Linux, embedded software, or enterprise software sectors.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and winning large accounts.
Technical knowledge of embedded Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred) and RTOS.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in English.
Professionalism, self-motivation, teamwork, and high energy in a distributed environment.
Ability to travel up to 50% and attend global company events twice a year.
Experience in selling open source, enterprise software, cloud, virtualization, or container technologies.
Curiosity, flexibility, accountability, and appreciation for diversity in a multicultural team.
Detail-oriented with strong planning, reporting, and follow-up abilities.
