Junior ML/AI Engineer

Join Synqd as a Junior Machine Learning / AI Engineer and help develop innovative AI-powered features for a smart scheduling platform. Work remotely from the United States, collaborating with a senior ML architect and cross-functional teams to build, prototype, and deploy machine learning models that enhance user experience. This is a contract position with a maximum commitment of 100 hours over 15-30 days.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop lightweight machine learning models for classification, ranking, or clustering tasks.
• Assist in building systems for time management and user behavior prediction.
• Integrate ML models into production backend services.
• Perform feature engineering, model testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend developers for seamless deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and major ML libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with recommendation systems or behavioral ML models (preferred).
• Solid understanding of overfitting, regularization, and model evaluation techniques.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and backend integration of models.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in machine learning or AI development.
