Job Overview

Resolve critical issues in open source Linux infrastructure for enterprise customers and Ubuntu users.
Work across all stack layers: bare metal, virtualization, containerization, storage, networking, and cloud platforms.
Act as the final escalation point for operational troubleshooting, delivering solutions and upstream fixes.
Engage with Canonical's field, support, and product engineering teams to ensure effective communication and resolutions.
Participate in global remote work, with opportunities for travel and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Debug and resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes.
Provide expert guidance, workarounds, and patches for escalated technical issues.
Contribute to upstream communities and collaborate with software engineers on solutions.
Maintain clear, concise, and professional technical communications.
Participate in process improvements, documentation, and team activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Professional experience troubleshooting advanced Linux issues.
Strong expertise in Linux, LXD, OpenStack, Ceph, or Kubernetes.
Proficient in debugging with Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux platforms.
Skilled with tools such as gdb, pdb, tcpdump, and familiar with git repositories.
Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Background in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent experience.
Exceptional academic track record and willingness to travel internationally.
Curiosity, flexibility, and a passion for technology and open source.
