Payments Engineering Manager Role

Job Overview

• Lead and support a team of up to eight engineers in designing and delivering payments protocols.
• Collaborate closely with product, leadership, and technical stakeholders to meet business objectives.
• Drive team productivity, morale, and professional development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Contribute technically to projects through code reviews and hands-on coding.
• Manage hiring processes to build a high-performing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment on scope, delivery timelines, and business goals with cross-functional teams.

• Participate in technical work, including code reviews and occasional coding.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in leadership or management.
• Proven track record delivering impactful products end-to-end, on time and with high quality.
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous and changing requirements.
• Proficiency in Solidity, TypeScript, Golang, and SQL (preferred).
• Experience developing secure smart contracts and building reliable global products (preferred).
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones (preferred).
• Active participation in the blockchain ecosystem (preferred).
