Job Overview

As a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer on the Reliability Test Team, you will be responsible for performing failure analysis on various electronic components and modules. You will utilize a range of tools and techniques to identify failure modes, coordinate with external labs for in-depth analysis, and provide concise reports to support design reviews.

Responsibilities
  • Perform failure analysis on PCBAs, components, and modules
  • Troubleshoot failures using schematics, circuit tracing, and fault isolation
  • Utilize microscopy, X-ray/CT, and thermal imaging to identify failure modes
  • Coordinate with external labs for SEM/EDS, FTIR, and FIB analyses
  • Write concise failure analysis reports with findings and images
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, EET, Mechanical Eng, or related field
  • 5+ years hands-on failure analysis experience on electronic hardware
  • Experience with FA tools such as microscopes, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Proficiency in thermal imaging, X-ray/CT, and cross-sectioning
  • Ability to read PCB schematics/layouts and coordinate with labs
