Software Engineer, AI Foundation (Mid-Senior level)

Design and build the core agentic platform powering Zip's AI products. Own end-to-end delivery of platform capabilities from architecture to production. Partner with product teams to ship reusable AI infrastructure. Push AI frontier: LLM orchestration with LangGraph, RAG pipelines. Build and evolve eval frameworks and observability tooling. Translate ambiguous problems into well-scoped technical solutions. 3+ years backend/full-stack software engineering in production. BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field. Strong Python proficiency; async frameworks and distributed systems a plus. Hands-on experience building or operating LLM-based apps (RAG, agents, eval). Experience with data pipelines, job scheduling (Airflow), and vector databases. Comfort with observability tooling: tracing, logging, metrics, alerts.
