Staff Engineer, Storage Engine

Design and implement distributed storage to scale data-intensive AI workloads. Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage; integrate clusters. Leverage RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and NFS/FUSE to optimize storage. Improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of the storage stack. Build metrics and dashboards; monitor and troubleshoot production storage. Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver storage across the stack; mentor engineers. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8–10+ years in storage systems engineering or infrastructure. Hands-on with object storage or distributed filesystems in production. Experience with S3 and NFS; Ceph/DAOS or similar. Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust; ability to leverage AI tools to augment development. Familiar with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse) and Kubernetes.
