Staff Storage Engineer

Lead storage strategy, architecture, and vendor evaluations. Drive strategic storage solution selection via RFP process. Optimize AI/ML workloads to influence storage design and performance. Identify and lead high-impact operational improvements and deployment plans. Partner with leadership to gather requirements and inform design. Delegate complex tasks and maintain proactive leadership communication. 8+ years designing, building, and operating large-scale multi-petabyte storage. Familiar with vendors: Vast, Weka, DDN, NetApp, PureStorage, Dell, IBM, HPE. File, Block, and Object storage; NFS/SMB/POSIX. NVMe over Fabrics: NVMe/TCP, NVMe/IB, NVMe/RoCE; RDMA, GPUDirect Storage. Encryption, multi-tenancy, storage security; data reduction and backup. 5+ years in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible); nice-to-have Kubernetes, CSI/COSI, CNI.
