Emburse is seeking a strategic and data-driven Vice President of Renewals to lead our renewals and customer retention function. As a key leader, you will maximize customer lifetime value, protect recurring revenue, and drive scalable operational excellence in a fast-growing SaaS environment. You will collaborate cross-functionally to align teams, execute renewal and price increase strategies, and empower finance teams through robust analytics and streamlined processes. Key Responsibilities
  • Own strategy, process, and performance management for all customer renewals, ensuring high gross and net revenue retention.
  • Build and govern a disciplined price increase program, defining logic, timing, thresholds, and customer engagement models.
  • Develop and enforce renewal playbooks and negotiation guardrails with Sales and Legal teams.
  • Drive forecasting accuracy, risk mitigation, and renewal pipeline visibility through robust analytics.
  • Lead Customer Success Operations, including health scoring, segmentation, capacity planning, and journey analytics.
  • Establish and track operational KPIs across the post-sale lifecycle with real-time dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize coverage, digital engagement, and product adoption strategies.
  • Oversee tech stack management for renewals and CS (Salesforce, Gainsight, Pendo, BI tools), ensuring system integrity and automation.
  • Develop onboarding and enablement programs to improve team fluency in commercial levers.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and customer-centric growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in SaaS renewals, customer success, or revenue operations leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to design and execute renewal and price increase strategies at scale.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in forecasting, risk mitigation, and KPI tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Gainsight, Pendo, and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and empower high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of financial processes, customer segmentation, and capacity planning.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of driving operational excellence and scalable growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
