Mercor is seeking experienced Software Engineers to collaborate with leading AI research labs on advanced open-source projects. This fully remote, asynchronous opportunity centers on creating and reviewing robust unit test suites for high-complexity codebases, offering flexible hours and direct engagement with top-tier AI researchers.

Job Overview

Work remotely as an at-will contractor on impactful AI-driven research initiatives.
Contribute to and review comprehensive unit tests for complex open-source repositories.
Engage directly with renowned AI labs and researchers.

Key Responsibilities

Write and review full unit test suites for challenging codebases.
Collaborate asynchronously with global AI research teams.
Work with multiple programming languages and frameworks.
Maintain high standards for code quality and reliability.
Manage flexible weekly work hours based on availability and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
Proven ability to write unit tests in at least one major language.
Strong contributions to complex open-source projects.
Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration.
