Autonomy Systems Verification Engineer

Job Overview

As an Autonomy Systems Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing simulation and test plans for autonomy systems. You will analyze results for launch-blocking metrics during releases and evaluate sensor and hardware performance integrated into the Zoox vehicle. Collaboration with software, hardware, systems, simulation, and safety teams to mitigate risks is essential. You will also develop and refine test methodologies for autonomy ODD coverage and communicate test results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute simulation and test plans for autonomy systems
• Analyze results for launch-blocking metrics during releases
• Evaluate sensor and hardware performance as integrated into the Zoox vehicle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks
• Develop and refine test methodologies for autonomy ODD coverage
• Communicate test results to stakeholders

Requirements & Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Automotive, Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• At least 5 years in systems engineering, verification, and validation
• Experience with development and testing of complex electro-mechanical systems
• Strong systems-level thinking and ability to navigate complex technical systems
• Experience with Polarion, Jama, DOORS, or TestRails
• Proficiency with Python and SQL
