Cloud Systems Engineer II

As a Cloud Systems Engineer II, you will play a vital role in building, validating, and supporting Accruent applications across both public and private cloud environments. You will ensure production systems maintain optimal performance, reliability, and redundancy to meet committed SLAs. Job Overview

• Design and maintain robust cloud and server infrastructures for Accruent applications.
• Ensure production-level systems operate efficiently and reliably at all times.
• Utilize configuration management and automation for scalable environments.
• Collaborate with support teams and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Document environment topology and installation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, conduct virus detection, and manage network backups.
• Implement disaster recovery plans and perform regular tests.
• Maintain SSAE16 audit compliance, software licensing, and maintenance contracts.
• Develop and optimize scripts to automate repetitive tasks and configuration changes.
• Mentor and train associates and educate non-technical stakeholders on system applications.
• Proactively communicate status updates to customers and project teams.
• Plan capacity expansion, recommend upgrades, patches, and new technologies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience administering MS Azure and other public cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, and T-SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of web server technologies (IIS, Apache, etc.).
• Deep familiarity with OS and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools.
