Job Overview
  • Develop and execute strategies for data center site selection and acquisition.
  • Lead negotiations for land purchases and manage contract processes.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential sites to support portfolio growth.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, vendors, and government officials.
  • Contribute to the growth and innovation of a leading technical real estate affiliate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify optimal locations for data center development based on business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead the end-to-end site selection process, including site visits, assessments, and reporting.
  • Negotiate land acquisition contracts and manage legal documentation.
  • Conduct due diligence, including technical, legal, and financial reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Support sustainability and energy procurement initiatives as part of site selection.
  • Travel as needed to evaluate and secure prospective sites (up to 50%).
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in site selection, project management, or development of data centers, real estate, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, or Law.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience with complex contracts.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency, especially with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
