Fastly Solutions Architect

Job Overview

This position involves onboarding new customers onto the Fastly platform, designing and building solutions using VCL, Go, Rust, or JavaScript, advising customers on features and performance tuning, creating training materials, collaborating with Sales Engineers, and serving as a subject matter expert for Fastly Delivery and Compute platform.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new customers by integrating Fastly into their systems
• Design and build solutions on Fastly using VCL, Go, Rust, or JavaScript
• Advise customers on features and performance tuning
• Create and present training materials for customers and internal teams
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers on proofs of concept

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proficiency in CDN and WAF tech: configuration, optimization, troubleshooting
• Expert knowledge of HTTP and web app implementation
• Troubleshooting protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, TLS)
• Basic coding knowledge in Go, JavaScript, or Rust
• Experience with customer-facing technical consultant
