PerkinElmer, a global leader in analytical and testing solutions, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair advanced laboratory instruments across multiple industries. This role supports pharmaceutical, environmental, food safety, and industrial clients, ensuring their equipment operates at peak performance and compliance standards are met. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, validate, and repair PerkinElmer and multivendor laboratory instrumentation at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and qualify equipment, including providing warranty services within established protocols and timeframes.
  • Communicate service offerings, including training, software support, laboratory products, and field upgrades.
  • Partner with customers to understand analytical workflows and applications, providing tailored solutions.
  • Maintain assigned assets such as tools, test equipment, telecommunication devices, and service parts inventory.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or High School Diploma with relevant years of direct laboratory equipment repair experience.
  • Background in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline (including military experience).
  • Proven experience servicing laboratory instrumentation (minimum 5-10+ years, based on education).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with adherence to documentation standards.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required by business needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing technical and soft skills development.
