As a Product Designer, you will craft seamless experiences that welcome and retain users across mobile, desktop, and VR platforms. Collaborate with a world-class team to create intuitive onboarding flows, drive user engagement, and build design systems that scale across the metaverse. This remote-first role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, distributed team.

Job Overview

Design user-centric experiences for onboarding, activation, re-engagement, and retention within VRChat’s social ecosystem.
Collaborate closely with design leads, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-impact features.
Drive cross-platform UX solutions for users on mobile, desktop, and VR devices.
Contribute to the growth and daily value of VRChat through scalable design systems.
Work remotely with a diverse, distributed team and flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Design and validate intuitive onboarding flows and cross-platform navigation features.
Prototype, wireframe, and conduct usability testing to turn ideas into tangible solutions.
Explore and integrate emerging design workflows, such as Figma plugins and design tokens.
Codify system guidance and documentation for teams and community contributors.
Champion human-centered systems thinking and high-quality craft across design and engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years designing consumer-facing digital products.
2+ years working with or contributing to design systems.
Strong experience with Figma component libraries.
Proven ability to connect design work to measurable outcomes and iterate quickly.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain design decisions.
Autonomous work style with strong ownership and attention to detail.
Curiosity and willingness to explore new design methodologies and workflows.
Bonus: Experience with growth levers, 3D/VR/AR design, and cross-input mode interfaces.
Bonus: Personal interest in social VR and online communities.
