IAM Engineering Team Leader

Job Overview

• Lead and support a small team of backend and frontend engineers focused on IAM features.
• Act as the team's spokesperson, fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented environment.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to guide technical solutions for identity and access management.
• Balance management duties with active participation in product development.
• Promote Remote's values and ensure compliance with global HR standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage team dynamics and support each engineer's professional growth.
• Participate in and lead the hiring and onboarding of new team members.
• Provide continuous, constructive feedback and mentorship.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of IAM features (e.g., RBAC, SSO, OAuth2).
• Ensure efficient, scalable, and secure engineering processes within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience managing engineering teams of at least 2 people.
• Senior-level expertise in backend (Elixir/Phoenix) or frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript/React) development.
• Hands-on experience with IAM technologies such as RBAC, SAML/OIDC SSO, and OAuth2.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
