Join Yelp as a Junior Software Engineer (Security) on the Infrastructure Security (InfraSec) team, working remotely in Ireland. Key Responsibilities

Build and automate tools for enforcing security policies and standards.
Enhance vulnerability detection, response, and remediation capabilities.
Identify and address vulnerabilities in Yelp’s corporate environment and infrastructure.
Review software designs for security implications and provide actionable feedback.
Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect suspicious activity.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.
Contribute to the development of IT and infrastructure security best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Some experience in software engineering, ideally with distributed or full-stack applications.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C).
Understanding of secure API design and implementation.
Familiarity with Linux, Docker, or Kubernetes authorization and security concepts.
Strong collaborative mindset and effective communication skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
