LLVM Compiler Engineer Role

Job Overview

• Work remotely with a global, experienced development team on LLVM and Clang-based projects.
• Contribute to a set of compiler instruments, including front-end, back-end, and platform-specific optimizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design, enhance, and implement toolchain components to meet client needs.
• Extend LLVM, Clang, and binutils to support new and unique platforms.
• Collaborate with the LLVM community and contribute patches to open source repositories.
• Debug and analyze platform code, identify system-level issues, and develop/maintain target-specific tests.
• Ensure the delivery of high-performance, production-quality software.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of C and C++.
• Proven experience in compiler design, code generation, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cross-compilation using GCC or Clang.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, object-oriented analysis, and design.
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development tools.
• Excellent self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Strong English communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Bonus: knowledge of C++11/14/17, assemblers, linkers, *nix tools, CMake, scripting (Python, Bash).
