.NET Migration Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate Job Engine plugins and supporting libraries to .NET Standard 2.0 or .NET 8 in dependency order.
• Ensure shared libraries target .NET Standard 2.0 for broad compatibility.
• Resolve compatibility issues with third-party NuGet packages by upgrading or replacing them.
• Participate fully in the software development lifecycle, adhering to best practices for security, code quality, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the engineering team for unit and integration testing of migrated libraries.
• Provide proactive production support by addressing bugs and system alerts promptly.
• Communicate progress clearly and work effectively within a team environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in C# and .NET development.
• Strong expertise in migrating applications from .NET Framework to .NET Standard 2.0 or .NET 8.
• Proficiency with plugin-based architectures and device polling protocols (e.g., SNMP, WMI).
• Familiarity with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and gRPC (desired).
• Experience with third-party NuGet package management and dependency resolution.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Degree in Computer Science or related technology/engineering field (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
