This Network Engineer III (F5) position focuses on F5 BIG-IP LTM for traffic management and application delivery. Responsibilities include conducting design feasibility studies, coordinating with vendors for hardware testing, building maintenance plans and change control processes, deploying scripts, developing SOPs/MOPs, standardizing networks, providing training, leading root cause analysis, defining baseline network requirements, deploying new products/services, monitoring capacity and bandwidth, providing on-site support, acting as a 3rd-level escalation point of contact, and traveling to satellite sites.
Qualifications include a High School Diploma or regional equivalent, a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering (with substitutions allowed), 5-7 years of experience in designing/building LAN/WANs and handling large remediation projects, hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP for load balancing and application delivery, CCNA and F5 101 certifications, familiarity with F5 201/301, CCDA/CCNP/CCDP, and a preference for CCIE and Python PCEP. Advanced knowledge of MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IPv6, VXLAN, and VLAN is required. The role offers base pay with an annual bonus, equity awards, ESPP, and comprehensive benefits as per Rackspace.
