On-Call Animator Role

Join Udacity’s dynamic Video Production team as an On-Call Animator, collaborating remotely with Designers and Editors to create engaging course and marketing content. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality animations, following established workflows and style guides.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D animated videos using After Effects.
• Design assets in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for course and marketing content.
• Follow storyboards and production scripts, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with producers and team members via Slack and email.
• Organize project assets using Udacity’s standard file structure and integrate feedback throughout production.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with After Effects.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with character or diagram animations using 3D software/plugins (C4D, Maya, Blender, 3DS Max, Element 3D).
• Strong shape layer animation skills and familiarity with layout, typography, and style guides.
• Ability to work successfully in remote, cross-functional teams with excellent communication skills.
• Access to Adobe Creative Cloud.
• System requirements: Windows 7/8/10 or Mac OS, minimum 16GB RAM, dedicated GPU with at least 4GB.
