Client Relationship Management Drug Development Proposal Development Team leadership

Parexel, a leading global clinical research organization, is seeking a Medical Director specializing in Ophthalmology to provide medical expertise and leadership in clinical trials from early to late phase development. The role focuses on medical monitoring, client consultation, and supporting drug development across ophthalmic indications. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse, global team to advance patient-centric therapies.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a medical monitor for clinical trials, ensuring patient safety and protocol adherence.
Provide expert consultation on protocol and drug development, including medical review of study documents.
Initiate and maintain consultative relationships with clients, addressing feedback and supporting project delivery.
Support proposal development and participate in client bid meetings as a subject matter expert.
Develop training modules, white papers, and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
Collaborate with internal teams on therapeutic area meetings and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Medical degree with specialty in Ophthalmology; current clinical knowledge expected.
Experience in clinical medicine, ideally including drug development and medical monitoring.
Strong understanding of the drug development process, including pharmacovigilance and study design.
Experience in pharmaceutical medicine preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience managing teams preferred.
Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
Proven ability to develop scientific materials (training modules, publications, presentations).
