Starburst Data is seeking a Partner Solution Architect to join our fully remote team, supporting US-based customers. In this dynamic role, you will own the technical aspects of the sales cycle, collaborate closely with sales representatives, and act as a trusted advisor to our clients. You will leverage your expertise to drive customer projects to closure, define success criteria, and deliver technical solutions using cutting-edge analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow and retain customer accounts by providing expert technical guidance.
  • Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle and drive customer projects to successful completion.
  • Define, scope, and execute customer proof-of-concept studies.
  • Design and build demos, presentations, reference architectures, and custom integrations.
  • Perform system and SQL performance tuning, including migrations from legacy systems.
  • Act as the primary technical resource during technology evaluations and customer engagements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Support teams to resolve critical operational issues.
  • Develop field best practices, documentation, and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
  • Represent the voice of the customer during internal product engineering discussions.
  • Travel to customer sites and company events as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in ANSI SQL and UNIX/Linux CLI interactions.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and usage.
  • Experience with private/public cloud deployments.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop and distributed systems.
  • Strong customer-facing technical experience in field sales or consulting roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to respond dynamically to questions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with innovative technologies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for onboarding, offsites, and customer engagements.
