Job Overview

Assist in client implementation and plan changes for document prep. Manage benefit plan documentation processes and reviews (SMM, SBC, SPD). Review prospective conversion plan documents and SPDs for accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in client implementation and plan changes for document prep
  • Manage benefit plan documentation processes and reviews (SMM, SBC, SPD)
  • Review prospective conversion plan documents and SPDs for accuracy
  • Draft, finalize, and maintain standard plan documents (SBCs, amendments)
  • Stay current on ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 1-3 years employee benefits paralegal or similar experience
  • 1-3 years Health and Welfare benefit consulting in ERISA & Non-ERISA
  • 3 years client management in self-funding document creation and management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; paralegal degree preferred
  • PDM portal doc management experience or SBC templates is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and 60-70 WPM typing
