Hims & Hers, a leading online healthcare platform, is seeking a Director of Policy and Trust Communications. In this high-impact role, you will lead strategic storytelling and communications at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and regulation. You will drive the company’s narrative in policy discussions, support executive advocacy, and ensure clear, accessible messaging on complex regulatory topics. This position requires a trusted expert who can work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build trust, shape public perception, and manage communications in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Job Overview
  • Lead proactive communications strategies related to policy, trust, and regulatory issues.
  • Serve as the company’s voice in policy and advocacy conversations.
  • Translate complex healthcare, legal, and regulatory topics into compelling narratives.
  • Collaborate closely with government affairs, legal, medical, and executive teams.
  • Drive executive visibility and support advocacy efforts across media channels.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute communications that elevate Hims & Hers in policy and regulatory discussions.
  • Shape public perception by crafting clear, accessible messaging around complex issues.
  • Mitigate risk and build trust through high-quality, strategic storytelling.
  • Work cross-functionally to align messaging across traditional and new media platforms.
  • Support executive leadership in advocacy and public policy initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in policy, corporate, or regulatory communications, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, legal, or related field.
  • Expertise in translating complex legal and policy issues for broad audiences.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong editorial judgment.
  • Experience managing high-stakes issues and shaping public narratives.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with policy and regulatory landscapes, ideally in Washington, D.C., or San Francisco.
  • Proven success working with both traditional and digital media outlets.
