Blaze Ads is Automattic’s self-serve advertising solution designed for small businesses leveraging WordPress. As an early-stage product with strong market traction, we are seeking a Product Lead to deepen product-market fit and drive customer acquisition. In this pivotal, hands-on role, you’ll guide a cross-functional remote team to scale Blaze Ads from a tool for bloggers to a robust platform supporting small business growth online.

Job Overview

Lead and own the Blaze Ads product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy.
Transform Blaze Ads into a comprehensive solution for small businesses launching online.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and marketers to simplify ad tech for users.
Champion an intuitive, effective user experience across all product touchpoints.
Drive product growth through partnerships with WordPress.com, Woo, and Jetpack.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Blaze Ads product roadmap, prioritizing impactful features and improvements.
Lead a small, cross-functional remote team to deliver user-focused solutions.
Continuously engage with users to gather insights and inform product decisions.
Ensure the onboarding, campaign management, and attribution processes are seamless and effective.
Drive distribution and adoption by integrating with Automattic’s product ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3–6 years of product management experience, including as a lead PM.
Background in self-serve advertising products, ideally for small businesses.
Solid understanding of ad tech, with a focus on user-centric product development.
Strong ability to work independently and thrive in fully remote, distributed teams.
Customer-driven mindset, translating user challenges into smart solutions.
Technical background (engineering experience is a plus).
