Senior Customer Tools Engineer

As part of the Professional Services department, you'll work remotely within India, collaborating closely with customers and internal teams to deliver impactful tools and automation for a unified open directory platform.

Job Overview

• Remote position based in India, working with a global SaaS company focused on secure identity and device management.
• Develop creative and robust tools, scripts, and solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Engage directly with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-value projects.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, contributing to both technical and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to define, scope, and deliver custom software solutions.
• Own the design and implementation of automation tools, GUIs, CLI scripts, and custom reports.
• Lead project planning, stand-ups, reviews, and post-mortems for the Customer Tools team.
• Analyze data to drive tooling improvements and enhance customer experience.
• Mentor junior team members and foster growth within the engineering group.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years professional experience in programming/scripting for IT, MSP, or software environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python or other object-oriented languages.
• Experience with Windows and Mac administration, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GWS).
• Strong background in Git repository management and agile software development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and own engineering initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and fluent English communication skills.
