Equinix is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer to lead the evaluation and implementation of next-generation software capabilities for the consumption of Equinix products and services. This position involves collaborating with the Office of the OCTO on software architecture blueprints and roadmaps, identifying and addressing technical debt, and serving as a technical thought leader. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science or a related engineering field, along with at least 10 years of relevant experience in technology innovation, architecture, or engineering in software. Strong understanding of modern software stacks, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise systems is required, along with experience in developing software products for large-scale deployments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as well as familiarity with open-source and developer communities. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving continual improvement and innovation in software capabilities, ultimately contributing to Equinix's mission of enabling seamless interconnection and digital transformation across various industries.
