Job Overview

GOAT Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to manage projects and problems of significantly larger scopes in a fully remote position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating efficient game plans, making technical recommendations, identifying and fixing bugs and performance bottlenecks, and coordinating seamlessly across technical and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and problems of significantly larger scopes
• Formulate an efficient game plan for delivering stable, well-tested features on time
• Make technical recommendations to improve the codebase while minimizing risk
• Identify and fix (or ideally avoid) bugs and performance bottlenecks
• Coordinate and communicate seamlessly across other technical and product teams

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with e-commerce/web applications
• Quick learner, self-starter, ability to work autonomously
• Comfortability with emerging technologies, tradeoffs, and design patterns in web services
