We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join our remote-first team, focusing on building and scaling our robust CI/CD platform. You will work collaboratively within a small, highly effective team to deliver innovative software delivery solutions for developers worldwide.

Job Overview

As a Software Engineer at Semaphore, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing features that drive our platform's performance and user experience. You will have end-to-end ownership of technical projects, contribute to open-source software, and ensure our services remain reliable and scalable in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement new features for the Semaphore platform.
Enhance internal and external APIs to improve integration and usability.
Automate release processes, monitor system health, and address scalability challenges.
Contribute to and collaborate on open-source projects.
Optimize the performance and scalability of the CI/CD platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience deploying and maintaining production services.
Proficiency in developing database-backed web applications.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in at least one high-level language.
Strong communication skills in a distributed team setting.
Willingness to master Golang and/or Elixir.
Familiarity with TDD/BDD practices and end-to-end project ownership.
Interest in Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, Linux, and command line tools.
Self-managed with effective decision-making abilities.
