Beeper is seeking a seasoned Support & QA Engineer to join our fully-remote team and help shape the future of unified messaging. You'll play a vital role at the intersection of support, quality assurance, and product feedback, working on a platform that unifies chat services like WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and more. This hands-on position involves technical troubleshooting, proactive QA, and direct collaboration with engineering to drive product quality and user satisfaction.

Job Overview

As a Support & QA Engineer, you will investigate complex user issues, run QA tests on new features, and provide actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement. Your expertise will be critical in transforming reactive support into proactive product intelligence, ensuring a seamless user experience across mobile, desktop, and web platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve user issues across Beeper's mobile and desktop apps.
Debug message synchronization and account session problems using logs and diagnostic tools.
Run and develop QA tests for pre-release features, writing test plans and checklists to catch regressions.
Document and report bugs with clear, developer-ready reproduction steps.
Respond to complex support tickets and surface patterns from user feedback and app reviews.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to close the loop on feature requests and improvements.
Create clear, concise documentation for both internal and user-facing resources.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in technical support, QA, or hybrid operations roles.
Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent communication, able to explain technical problems to both developers and users.
Proven ability to write thorough bug reports and test documentation.
Comfortable working across multiple platforms: mobile, web, and desktop.
Proactive mindset, aiming to prevent future support issues.
Ability to work independently and think clearly under pressure.
Experience with remote work and collaborating across distributed teams.
