Pressable, a leading managed WordPress hosting provider, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead to grow and guide our Technical Account Management team. In this remote, fast-paced start-up environment, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our customer engagement strategies, driving team performance, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional onboarding and ongoing support. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a results-driven professional passionate about customer success, technical excellence, and team development.

Job Overview

As the Team Lead for Technical Account Management, you will mentor and develop a team of Technical Account Managers (TAMs), foster strong client relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to provide best-in-class managed WordPress hosting experiences. Your responsibilities will span technical solution delivery, process improvement, training, and strategic partnership across Sales, Support, and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Technical Account Managers.
Act as a player-coach by engaging directly with customers for technical migrations, performance audits, and architecture optimization.
Provide technical leadership during pre-sales cycles, including product demonstrations and solution architecture reviews.
Oversee and resolve complex customer escalations during pre-sales and onboarding, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
Design, document, and implement scalable processes, policies, and training materials to support team and customer success.
Collaborate with Sales, Support, and Product teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and inform product improvements.
Analyze customer data and team metrics to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience leading and motivating technical teams in customer-facing roles.
Strong understanding of technical account management best practices and managed WordPress hosting services.
Expertise with technologies such as WordPress, PHP, Git, Grafana, and application performance monitoring (APM).
Experience building and scaling processes, policies, and training programs in technical organizations.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex customer escalations and drive customer adoption and retention.
Strong organizational, project management, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Support, and Product teams.
Proactive, analytical, and passionate about continuous improvement and customer success.
Deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem and hosting technologies.
