General Motors is seeking a driven Autonomous Vehicle Safety Case Technical Program Manager to lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of safety cases for autonomous vehicle capabilities. This fully remote role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of mobility by ensuring the highest safety standards as GM moves toward zero crashes, emissions, and congestion. Engage with regulatory bodies, cross-functional teams, and executives to achieve program launch goals and drive innovation in autonomous technologies.

Job Overview

Lead the AV safety case strategy and execution across GM's autonomous vehicle programs.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies, external consultants, and diverse internal teams.
Drive accountability, process improvement, and consensus in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with eligibility for company vehicle evaluation programs.
Contribute to GM’s vision of a safer, more sustainable automotive future.

Key Responsibilities

Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for safety case completeness to support program launches.
Guide executives and partners through decision-making to ensure safety and operational excellence.
Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
Drive team accountability with clear communication, follow-up, and supportive leadership.
Continuously improve safety case processes in alignment with regulatory and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
10+ years of industry experience, including technical program management.
Proven ability to lead complex, enterprise-level programs with cross-functional scope.
Experience building consensus and driving results across diverse teams.
Strong self-motivation, leadership, and process improvement mindset.
Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and safety.
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
