Instructional Design Remote Collaboration Teaching Video Editing Written Communication

Khan Academy India is seeking a freelance Chemistry Video Content Creator for Grades 11-12. Join our fast-growing nonprofit, dedicated to delivering free, world-class education to millions of learners. As part of our India Content Team, you'll design engaging, syllabus-aligned video lessons, helping students master key concepts in Chemistry. Your work will make a significant impact on learners nationwide, especially in underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities

Create syllabus-aligned Chemistry video lessons for Grades 11-12.
Develop accompanying exercises and practice questions.
Iterate and enhance content based on feedback.
Follow Khan Academy’s content principles and standards.
Collaborate with the content team to support localization efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in teaching and/or educational content creation for Chemistry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience designing video-based instructional materials.
Ability to explain complex Chemistry topics in a conversational, intuitive manner.
Familiarity with Indian school curricula for Grades 11-12.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.
Experience with remote/freelance work preferred.
Commitment to educational equity and accessibility.
Basic video creation and editing skills.
Open to creating content in English and/or regional languages.
