We are seeking a passionate Developer Advocate to join our fully remote, global team. As a key member of the DataHub community, you will empower developers, create compelling technical content, and foster positive technical engagement. Job Overview

This role focuses on engaging with the DataHub community, creating impactful technical resources, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance the developer experience. You will act as a bridge between developers and our product & engineering teams, advocating for user needs and promoting best practices in metadata management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage actively in the DataHub Slack community by answering questions, offering guidance, and fostering positive interactions.
  • Create technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, and video materials, to educate users about DataHub features and best practices.
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, webinars, and community events to promote DataHub and metadata management.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate complex technical concepts into accessible content.
  • Develop and maintain example projects, sample code, and resources to support developer success.
  • Identify and advocate for improvements in DataHub's developer experience.
  • Partner with marketing to drive campaigns and increase community engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Developer Advocate, preferably in the metadata or open source ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with DataHub and technical expertise in data engineering and metadata management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Experience creating technical content such as blogs, tutorials, or documentation.
  • Comfortable speaking at events, leading workshops, and hosting webinars or podcasts.
  • Active contributor to open-source projects and technical communities.
  • Empathetic and patient, supporting developers of all skill levels.
  • Familiarity with data ecosystems (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark, dbt, Airflow) is a plus.
