Canonical is seeking a highly motivated IHV Alliance Sales Director to lead strategic partnerships and drive growth across the EMEA or APAC regions. This remote role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with global hardware vendors, overseeing teams, and executing joint business strategies. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior executives, drive market expansion for Canonical's open-source solutions, and represent Canonical in executive engagements and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and nurture strategic alliances with Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs) at all organizational levels.
Lead, manage, and grow a team of Business Development Managers to pursue new business opportunities.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for joint offerings with partners.
Negotiate contracts, oversee performance tracking, and resolve alliance issues.
Represent Canonical at customer workshops, sales events, and executive meetings, delivering presentations and fostering collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles, preferably with IHVs.
Deep understanding of Linux, cloud software ecosystems, and open-source technologies.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced, goal-driven environments.
Experience managing complex organizations and capturing customer requirements.
Passionate about Ubuntu and Canonical’s mission.
Willingness to travel internationally for partnership development.
