Pismo, a technology leader in banking and payment solutions, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of a Pipeline Orchestration Platform. This remote position empowers you to shape architecture, guide technical decisions, and mentor engineering teams in building secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for global financial services. You will collaborate across squads, drive platform evolution, and ensure seamless integration with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement orchestration logic for service bundle promotions and environment rollbacks.
Develop secure, scalable APIs and intuitive front-end interfaces for both technical and non-technical users.
Integrate platform with deployment infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring full observability.
Collaborate with SRE, Security, IAM, and Architecture teams to meet operational and compliance standards.
Lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and promote best practices in monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in software engineering, focused on distributed systems and platform development.
Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), CI/CD, and orchestration tools.
Strong proficiency in backend and frontend technologies, API development, and system design.
Experience with monitoring, alerting systems, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with security standards (e.g., OWASP), multi-tenancy, and auditability.
Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams across squads.
Skilled communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Remote work experience and comfort in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
Additional certifications in cloud architecture, security, or software design are a plus.
