Job Overview

An overview of this role:

Group Tenant Scale (GTS) is building GitLab’s next generation, multi-tenant, horizontally scalable, resilient SaaS platform. We are looking for a Principal Engineer with a strong distributed systems background to help design and evolve this platform.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and evolution of GitLab’s multi-tenant platform
Gain deep knowledge of the product and customer use cases
Provide technical leadership across infrastructure and development areas
Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to ensure alignment
Foster a strong engineering culture focused on innovation

Requirements & Qualifications

Extensive background in designing distributed systems at scale
Production experience with cloud computing
Proven track record of leading large-scale SaaS product architectures
Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers
Good communication and ability to work with stakeholders independently
