One of our most significant achievements in this space was the conversion of the Wynnewood refinery's hydrocracker into a renewable diesel unit (RDU) in April 2022. This RDU has the capacity to produce approximately 100 million gallons of renewable diesel per year, with a daily capacity of 7,500 barrels. The RDU can be easily switched back to traditional hydrocarbon production through a simple catalyst change.
In addition, we completed the mechanical installation of a renewable feedstock pretreater at the Wynnewood refinery in the fourth quarter of 2023, which went into operation in the first quarter of 2024. Furthermore, we have taken strides to formalize our commitment to renewables by segregating our renewable business in February 2023. This move reflects our dedication to sustainability and our goal of contributing to a cleaner energy landscape.
