Environ Drainage Services

About

Enhanced Content: Welcome to Rural Utilities Service (RUS), a division of USDA Rural Development. As a consulting firm, we specialize in providing much-needed infrastructure or infrastructure improvements to rural communities. Our services include water and waste treatment, electric power and telecommunications services, all of which help to expand economic opportunities and improve the quality of life for rural residents.

We believe that every rural community deserves easy access to quality infrastructure. That's why RUS has three specialized programs – Water and Environmental Programs (WEP), Electric Programs, and Telecommunications Programs – aimed at providing loans, grants, and loan guarantees to upgrade or build necessary infrastructure in rural areas. Let us walk you through our programs in more detail.

Water and Environmental Programs (WEP): Our WEP program offers loans, grants, and loan guarantees for drinking water, sanitary sewer, solid waste, and storm drainage facilities in rural communities with a population of 10,000 or less. Public bodies, nonprofit organizations, and recognized Indian tribes are eligible to apply for assistance.

Additionally, WEP makes grants to nonprofits to provide technical assistance and training to help rural communities with their water, wastewater, and solid waste problems. Electric Programs: Our Electric Program provides funding to maintain, expand, upgrade, and modernize America's rural electric infrastructure. The loans and loan guarantees finance the construction or improvement of electric distribution, transmission, and generation facilities in rural areas.

The Electric Program also provides funding to support demand-side management, energy efficiency and conservation programs, and on-and off-grid renewable energy systems. We offer loans to cooperatives, corporations, states, territories, subdivisions, municipalities, utility districts, and nonprofit organizations.

Telecommunications Programs: Our Telecommunications Program improves the quality of life in rural America by providing funding for the deployment of rural telecommunications infrastructure. USDA Rural Development is committed to ensuring that rural areas have access to affordable and reliable telecommunications services comparable to those available throughout the rest of the United States.

With this access, rural America will see improved educational opportunities, healthcare, safety, security, and higher employment. Ready to work with us? Our contact page offers several ways to get in touch with our team, including direct phone numbers and addresses to our Administrator's Office, Electric Programs, Telecommunications Program, and Water and Environmental Programs. We are always happy to hear from you.

Join us today, and let us make your rural community's infrastructure dreams a reality.
