Job Overview

Design, develop, and maintain Supabase's core backend services and tools.
Collaborate with a global team to create scalable solutions for developers.
Implement new features such as real-time sync, edge functions, and vector embeddings support.
Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance across diverse use cases.
Contribute to open-source projects and engage with the developer community.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize backend infrastructure using Postgres and related technologies.
Design secure authentication and authorization systems with Row Level Security.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and real-time synchronization features.
Implement and manage large file storage and vector embedding integrations.
Collaborate on documentation and open-source community support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
Experience in backend development (Node.js, Go, or similar).
Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and scalable architectures.
Experience with real-time data or websocket technologies is a plus.
Background in open-source contribution is highly valued.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely.
